The answer to this question also depends on several factors such as: (1) whether you used to have a regular/irregular menstrual periods. (2) the last time you had an intimate contact w/ your partner (if you can recall);
If you used to have REGULAR menstrual periods, and if you can recall having an intimate relationship w/ your partner for the past months, and specially if you're really trying to get pregnant, then you should buy a pregnancy test kit and start testing! Do the test for at least 3 times for 3 consecutive days to be sure.

You didnt mention how old you are or how long you have been having a period. If you just started menstruating recently, sometimes it takes a while for your cycles to become regular. But if you have been sexually active at all, even once, you need to run, not walk to the nearest pharmacy and get a home pregnancy test. With a missed period, pregnancy is the very first thing you want to rule out.

Good luck.

Only you can answer this question. Take a test or go see your doctor! 4 months is a long time to go without a period!

If you have not been to the doctor to get checked out, now is the time to do it. They can give you a pregnancy test, and will probably schedule an ultrasound if it is positive.
