Zillow.com
your county assessor webpage will probably have a parcel search application and the property current assessed value, previous sales prices and next years estimated assessed value. Some sites also now have a "comps" function allowing you to locate similar properties in that area to compare it to.
You can check the MLS for similar homes in your target homes area and what they are valued at for a general idea.

Oh yea, be sure to add about 20% to the assessed value, this will equal the aproximate market value unless you are in an atypical housing market.

Go to www.realtor.com and under how much is my home worth-type in the address of the property that you want the value for. It will pull up recent sales in that neighborhood or within so many miles of the home. It also shows the age of the home and sq ft. This is the same type of data that appraisers use in comparables.

No, not reliably. Places like Zillow are notoriously inaccurate from my personal experience. If you need an educated guess, get a market analysis from a local Realtor. If you need something more accurate, pay for an appraisal.

You can try www.zillow.com and see what you think. But your best bet is to get a reputable and knowledgeable Realtor to do a CMA (comparative market analysis) for you. As to automated systems for estimates, but I generally doubt their ability to make real world and subtle analysis. Of course, as they say, even a stopped clock is correct twice a day.
