You're perfectly fine. I barely felt my braxton hicks contractions, and when I did it was just a light tighening around 36 wks. Not all mommies get them. You're one of the lucky pregnant people. Enjoy it while it lasts, I missed being pregnant so much after my little guy was born (I still do).

Hi i have been having braxton hicks since 18 weeks which i never had with my first pregnancy but throughout today im not sure if i have been having real contractions or not i cant remember either what they feel like but i guess ill find out sooner or later. If you get more than 4 in an hour go and get checked over they will put you on a Monitor just to check with you being 33 weeks. Good luck.

L-U-C-K-Y!! is what you are, my friend! who says that you "should" have any braxton hicks?? Pregnancy is a miracle, and labor is still a mystery! No one knows what triggers it, and "why a pregnancy is 40 weeks, and to further add to the mystery is "how the the body know it's been 40 weeks??"
The word "supposed to" should be scrapped OFF of everyone's vocab! I went into pre-term labor, -at 29 weeks. Not fun, and the most traumatic time in my whole life! Your baby has at least 7 more weeks to go. Why on earth would you look for contractions? Your body will let YOU know when it's time, and trust me, don't RUSH. Enjoy the fact that you had a "perfect pregnancy!" not many women are that lucky!! Girl, you have hit the preggo-lottery! And I'm sure that I can speak for many women out there!!
Good luck sweetie!! Hope you have a smooth, uneventful delivery!!

Braxton Hicks contractions don't necessary hurt...you can just feel like a tugging in your lower belly but nothing uncomfortable or painful. That's how it was with me. Sometimes it even felt like I had to do number #2...LOL :) But sometimes you can have a Braxton Hick contraction and not even feel them so don't even worry!
But here is the thing...you need to do the kick counts. You should feel some sort of movement: a kick, hiccups, movement...anything...at least 20 times in 2 hours. If you are not feeling any fetal movement then run to the ER so they can do an ultrasound.
I hope this helps...Take care and congratulations!

You're fine. I never felt a single contraction and found out I was 4cm dilated at 37 weeks. They tried to turn my son at that point because he was breach and when they hooked me up to the monitor, I could see that I was having contractions but didn't feel them. Everyone is different. Some never get Braxton Hicks at all, some feel them as if they were true labor. Be GLAD it doesn't hurt!
Good luck when your time comes - wish you and your baby all the best.

I would say that you are having an awesome pregnancy! Not everyone has the same symptoms, and certainly not everyone gets Braxton Hicks. Consider yourself lucky and stick out these next couple of weeks, before you know it you will be holding that little baby of yours! Good Luck!

I had no symptoms of pregnancy at all with my first chiild, except for the expansion of my stomache. I never was sick, never tired, no braxton hicks, and my baby was perfect. Now Im 37 weeks pregnant with 2nd and he is so different. Ive had a lot of pain and a lot of false labor(braxton hicks). Its amazing how different its been.

Braxton Hicks are normal to have but like every other "normal" thing to happen during pregnancy not everybody gets them. As long as you are feeling the baby move and you are going to your check ups everything will be ok. Congrats! :-)

I had the exact pregnancy experience, and it also got me worried..can you imagine, no contractions up until 40 weeks!!! I didnt know that my baby was already getting so big inside me until I did my last sonogram and it revealed that my baby is already too big for me to deliver her normally (so the next time you get an ultrasound scan, you better pay attention to the "Expected Fetal Weight" section. It should give you an idea whether your baby is bigger than normal or vice versa). So, I ended up having a c-section instead.
