Yes, Tyler Wright has retired from the NHL.

He was hired by the Columbus Blue Jackets on July 29, 2007 to become their Development Coach

I think he didnt officially retire, but isnt playing. He is with the CBJ in some capacity I heard. He liked Columbus and is still living here.I remember his last game as a jacket. We were getting spanked by LA and we went on a 5 on 3 power play.Tyler wright
takes a stupid penalty and LA kills off the power play.It was a day or two later Tyler,Beauchemin, and Marchant end up in Anaheim. We get Fedorov and The Ducks win the Cup.

Tyler Wright (age 34 by the way) has not officially retired (Anaheim bought out his contract in February 2006), and is currently not on any NHL rosters.

Last year he played 4 games with Basel of the Swiss A League, going pointless.

Other players with NHL experience who played for Basel last year included James Campbell, Mark Astley, and Adrien Plavsic.

Unless he had an injury that went unnoticed, I don't think so. Wright's not even thirty yet, isn't he?
