I've noticed virtually all neo-con christians are for low taxes because they wan't more of their money to themsleves. I've heard by many, "Why should I give my hard earned dollar to lazy people who live on welfare," or "I refuse to support those illegal aliens." Are these people completely oblivious that they are contradicting the teachings of their leader, and I'm not talking about GWB(even though some of them clearly worship him); I'm speaking of Jesus. Jesus, according to the scriptures loved all people and believes that all people need to look out for their fellow man no matter what. This principle was emphesized in relation to the poor. So why are so many NEO-CONS against taxes for social welfare and wellness when it is clearly what their lord would want?

I find it funny that some of you think that people on welfare don't work, how uninformed and ignorant you are. 95%+ people who are on welfare DO work or are unable to work because of physical and/or mental disability. Wow you are all model christians alright, lol.

Hey alligator
you seem to be very ignorant and stupid. Maybe you should think about what you are saying before you write it because you sound like an uninformed child who has no grasp on what is actually going on. Maybe if you got an education people would notice the validity of your words rather then the slander that is coming out your mouth.

are you so naive to think that your tax dollars go to what you intend them to go to? taxes are the vehicle for corruption.

I believe you are calling Jesus a communist!!! Dude you are in trouble!!!
I don't think Jesus had career welfare recipients in mind while he was preaching. You know, the ones that make welfare a life style. The ones that show up to the grocery store in a Caddy, and then bust out the benefits card at the check out. Your argument, quite frankly sucks.
I think Jesus would rather see his followers volunteer their TIME, help out their neghbor when he/she is down on his luck, donate his extra/old/obsolete clothing to those less fortunate, help out at a food kitchen, offer words of advice or encouragement to someone who needs it, be a Big Brother/Sister, donate their time and skill, "Do unto others."
I think he would rather see this if the alternative is to give tax money to a bloated, inefficent, money-squandering, unsupervised, WELFARE state, to do the job of helping the poor!!! Especially when the majority of the people in favor of this WASTEFUL WELFARE STATE are doing everything they can to get HIS (i.e. Jesus) teachings, symbols, images removed from every aspect of public life and removed from the halls of government!!!
Hey, why don't you convert to Islam?? No taxes, except for a small alms type payment.

Why does it bother you that Christians are outspoken? We are Americans too!
A Democratic President started "hand-outs" which was illegal until Roosevelt got some of his cronies to change the law. Doesn't make it right. Why should any group of people, who work for what they get, give it to lazy, non-working Democrats? Why should hard working Americans subsidize illegal Mexicans who are breaking the law of the land by just crossing the border. Why should hard working Americans subsidize illegals using social security cards to earn money that they are sending out of the country?
I help as many people as I can, but I get to choose who I help, not Congress.
Social welfare and wellness is one of the reasons America is so weak. Anyway, the Christian walk says that our families are to take care of our own.
Before you tell others to read, get educated, or get smart, maybe you should follow your own instructions.

If the New Testament is the literal written account of the life of Jesus and we are to take it to heart as inspired by God for our benefit then there are no real Christians in the world today. I have read the bible many, many times and have studied, in college, the fundamental precepts of Christianity and in the forty-six years I've been alive have never met a single individual who professed to be a Christian that didn't contradict almost everything the entire bible stated. Christianity, like all religions, is a convienience for those who bother. I would rather claim agnosticism in a stadium full of people than to profess to be a christian, or muslim, or morman, or hindu, or buddist, or catholic, etc..................

Where are you going that you are exposed to all these "NEO-CON Christians," if I may inquire?
I am a church going Christian who comes from a Republican family and have chosen to vote Republican.
I advocate, however, not for the outspokenness of Christians in politics, but rather our First Amendment rights to free speech and freedom to worship (or not--Americans get to choose), as well as our American right to be involved in the political process. I never push religion. But I am known to share my faith with people who are hurting. Big difference from your scenerio.
Probably need to take another look if you want to play judge.

Now to answer the people above talking about giving their hard-earned money to people...
If you were to OPEN YOUR EYES ONCE IN A WHILE, you would see the CORPORATIONS are the ones TAKING YOUR MONEY through Corporate Welfare by almost 7 to 1, but people on here don't realize that. They just continue to believe what the politicians tell them without using their minds and thinking for themselves. This is why bush is the president now - nobody wants to take the time to research what is REALLY going on.
...and they call people on Welfare LAZY...
To answer your question: The so-called Christian right does not worship Christianity. They worship the "almighty dollar". Jesus said in the New Testament that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into the Kingdom of God.
Now you see why...

Your question is not only full of generalizations and stupid in its reference to everyone on the right as a "neo-con", you are forgetting one thing that I think is very important to keep in context.
Jesus didn't want charity to be forced.
"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." -- 2 Corinthians 9:7
"And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living." -- Mark 12:44
When its forced, in the form of a government mandate or anything else, it loses that quality of being from the heart. The Pharisees did everything they were asked to unwillingly, and with a dark heart.
God knows what is in our hearts as He did theirs, and it is useless to try to fool Him with a token gesture.
@Bruce_J: Don't make me laugh. The art of tolerance as its practiced today is one that modern man put above God. It doesn't even recognize right or wrong.
@Gladiater: And your filth - which I'm surprised is coming out of someone who claims to be in the position to comment on the teachings of Christ - has just been flagged. Don't you ever contribute to any religious discussion again.

All different religions are fake, and stimulated via devil! (fairly Islam) The devil will do something he can to get human beings to take their eyes off the actual Jesus!!! All cults and fake religions start to get off course with a diverse Jesus!! look on the Jesus of the JW's - they say he improve into the Arc angel Michael earlier He improve into born of Mary. it fairly is blatantly fake!!!!! Jesus under no circumstances has been, nor ever would be Michael the Arc Angel. The Mormons say Jesus improve right into a "spirt brother of Lucifer" which could make Jesus a trifling created being!!!! it fairly is definitely fake additionally.... And, that's what facilitates devil to win, whilst take their eyes off the actual Jesus!!!!!!

There is a difference. When a mother of 3 is unable to take care of her kids at her minimum wage job, I think she should get welfare. But when a healthy man or woman just choose to sit at home and not work and not try to make their lives better, I don't think they should get welfare. Welfare is supposed to be a hand up, not a hand out. You seem very angry. Stop trying to bring everyone else to you level.

If you look you find that the "neo-con Christians" contribute more money to charity than their liberal brothers. the problem is that social spending is out of control and too many of us wonder just who gets the money and if they really need it. One other teaching is that God helps them who help themselves. Its one thing to help a man who wants to stand up, quite another to give it to someone who thinks the help is an "entitlement".

Christ said a lot of things that Christians ignore. Most Christians are hypocrites. It only makes sense...the religion has been filled with hypocracy since the Catholic church twisted it all around and made it about blood and war and money instead of love and tolerance. In my mind, most Chistians are no better than an Islamic terrorist. They both want to kill for religion.
