I had no idea it would be so hard to find a jar (or bottle I guess) online. Can somebody help? It has to be amber colored glass and contain 2-5 liters AND have a lid. Any help is appreciated.

It also needs to be NEW. I work for a veterinarian -- we're using it to mix a specific medication.

2 - 5 liters is very large - like those big pickle jars at carnivals!!

There are specialty shops with amber jars, such as
http://www.essentialsupplies.com/

They don't have amber jars that big, but they have gallon jugs for about $20.

Fisher scientific 2006-7 catalog p 186 (has 4-liter amber jugs)

Note: they might only sell to companies, not individuals.

If you just need a few, you could probably buy them at a local college chemistry stockroom. If you know someone who works in a lab, these types of bottles are thrown out all the time, they could probably get you some for free. If it had a volatile solvent in it, it will dry out and be clean. (Just don't use for food or drinks).
