I think the animal you're thinking of is a lemur, some sort of cat. LOL!

No. You are confusing it with Lemur. That is the animal. Femur is your thigh bone.

Ya mon it's an animol that jumps off a cleeff and all it's friends and relatives follow it over de edge until they meet with their death at the bottom. Some people call dem Lemurs but the lemur is the large bone in yur leg mon so don't get mixed up mon.
