Chris Brown was totally lip syncing too and it was so obvious...just because his dance moves were the sh** do we forgive him? Everybody on the main stage without a handheld mic was lip syncing that night.

No, because she is a big brat. If she cannot get into shape to perform, then she gets what anyone else would get, criticized. She also has made some very bad publicity for herself, wearing no underwear and spreading her legs for all to see, then cutting her mother out of her life just because she is concerned about her kids, shaving her head, and it is just like, "Hey, A am a celebrity and can look and do whatever I want". She is either on drugs or has a mental problem. I wish her well, but not until she gets herself straightened up first. Just stay off the stage until then. Get some help,and keep off the booze and drugs.

Britney acted like the old woman of two kids that she is, not an entertainer. She was up there to do a job, and if she performed that badly at any other job, then she'd get grief for it. So why should she be let off the hook. She chose to be up there. If she couldn't or wasn't willing to do well at it, then she should have stayed home not caring for the kids like she usually does.
And just how often are we supposed to cut her some slack, anyway? She's a constant screw-up, but her loyal fans keep acting like this is just her first time, instead of her thousandth.

you know what chris brown needs to go to hell he is a loser face and yes we should definetly cut britney some slack and im not saying this because im a fan in fact i dont really like pop music but you know after i heard that ***** tell everyone her children were mistakes ... if i was britney i would go on stage again and beat the living sh!t out of that horse face she has absolutely no right to comment anything near that about britney's kids i mean can you imagine what it must feel like to be her right now and people even said she looked fat on her performance .... its like what do you people expect these days she is a mother of two you know the media is like brainwashing people into thinking they are fat when they arent so they can start more eating disorders..... they should remember beauty is distorted ..... very distorted

It's not that she was lip synching badly, its the whole package that is Britney...all the "drama" she put up about the VMA's and what was going to happen with her performance (Criss Angel), the wardrobe, the bad hair, the bad dancing, her "attitude" about the performance. Her manager should have been watching her rehearsal and told her "hell no". She was clearly in NO shape to perform on the VMAs. Plus, she brings it all on herself. I get that being a celebrity is hard and she is constantly under the spot light but noone makes her do the things she does-that's all on her. I have no sympathy for her.

No slack for the performers. If you are going to make in in show business you need to be at the top of your game all the time. It wasn't just the lipsyncing, I can deal with that . she couldn't dance either, she looked dead on her feet and didn't know what she was doing.

Like someone said (I think Perez Hilton) Britney usually lip sync's and we know, but its cuz shes dancing too much. it looked like she was moving through some mud, she barely moved. she just walked around. eww but i dont think she is fat btw

Well, both performances were terrible. So, both of them should be ridiculed for lip syncing but since Britney Spears did some awful dancing as well, she will get all the flack.

no i dont think we should cut her slack. did anyone see her practice videos? she looked fine, good even. then she went out and partied for a couple of nights and that is the result. she does this to herself. she needs to stop trying to have a comeback and focus on herself, not her career...its basically over.

yes we should give her some slack, but her dance moves and her singing sucked, chris brown at least was dancing, and dancing good. when she gets in shape she will do awesome.

its not about the lip synching...we knew she did that from way back when. It was the bad dance routine, outfit, and the fact that she looked like she didnt care about being there
