What is your opinion on long distance relationships?

Even... no distance relationships can be tricky... deceiving... illusive....
Not that long distance relationships cannot be wonderful, fulfilling, true! Not at all! But one must be much more careful, paying attention to minor details. Because distance can cover bad habits, bad qualities, can cover the insensitivity, the lie... It takes a lot of effort to make a long distance relationship a safe and stable one.
People should meet, should talk face to face, should look into each other's eyes. And if after closeness and intimacy a true relationship is established, no distance, no matter how long it is, can harm it.

I was in a long distance relationship for a full year before I met face to face with the guy. We corresponded every day thereafter for almost two more years, before finally getting engaged and moving in together. Currently, we are still together and happier than ever.

If two people are true to themselves and each other, and really care about their partner, they can make a long distance relationship work. It may get tough, but if it's meant to be, it will happen.

It would be very difficult, but any relationship can work until one person stops wanting it to. So as long as you are both happy then it can work.

A waste of time,and potentially dangerous. That domain is a field of broken dreams and shattered hopes and every manner of fraud,deception and exploitation. These days it's mostly English and European guys who want to marry Am. women to get permanent residency in the U.S. And they don't care how much they hurt her and her family.
