I don't agree with socialism

I am a Republican even though they do not have all the answers. I am not a Democrat because they think they have all the answers. I would rather live in a country where I have a good job and the freedom to do it than live in a country where the democratic leaders hate big business in the name of the people. If Bush is soft on immigration then why did the democratic candidates have a debate in spanish? Who is pandering for votes now?

Republican, I am big on national defense, and our military and the Democrats have a bad track record on that. I mean when 18 of our boys got killed in Somalia look what Clinton did he pulled out and ran. All that while the naked bodies of our guys were being shown on TV, their dead bodies being drug through the streets. Many military people I know support the Republicans there are some that support the Democrats but not as many as those who support the Republicans. It use to be that Republicans were big on smaller government. This seems to have changed under W. Bush. I think that many still do. I think for the Republicans national security and capitalism is more of what they stand for. The Democrats want people who have worked and made money to have to give it to those people who are as they say "less fortunate". That means they want to take the money people and earned and give it to people on welfare and other programs. I do think that welfare is good, it keeps many people and children from starving to death. The thing is that far to many people use welfare as a means of income and as a way to not work and sit on their butt's all day long and gripe about why they are not getting more money. The Democrats also usually cut defense spending and the size of the military and thus make our nation weaker when we end up needing to protect our nation and our nations interests. They want to go to socialized medicine which if you look at nations with it you will see a vast majority of the people who can afford it will come to the U.S. because it will take a long time to see a doctor, I mean when you have a person who could die without bypass surgery, and the government run healthcare system put them on a waiting list and says we will get to you in 6 months. That's a big problem. While I will say our system need to fix some things with medicine, we do have extremely better medical care than the people in Canada, England and other nations that use national healthcare. It is the insurance companies that are causing this problem. I mean when a CEO of an insurance company get a million dollar bonus, that is kind of ridiculous. That means that Americans are being forced to pay to much for insurance. I do think some regulation is needed in that industry but to nationalize it is the wrong way to go. Have you ever had to go and try to get something done through the Federal or even state government. It is a nightmare! Now think about having to go through that while you are sick or have a potentially life threatening illness. Democrats like the idea of all of these illegal immigrants coming over the border and using our education system, our medical system, and so on. Yet who is paying for all of that,....we are the American citizens. We should not allow them to come here illegally and should remove them. They say that they do jobs other Americas will not do, that's bull. If there is not enough people wanting those jobs, then the employers will have to pay more in order to attract American citizens. Then many Americans would be glad to do those jobs, but not for $7 an hour. Then with a lot of the money the illegales make they send a large sum of it back home. In cases like Mexico, they are simple exporting their poor people to America, and then with all the money they send back to their families, Mexico becomes wealthier. I do not like the illegal immigration, the Democrats love it. The Republicans for the most part, with the exception of G.W. Bush do not like it either and want it stopped. There are a few reasons why I like and stand behind the Republicans. While they are just as bad in some areas as the Democrats, they at lest want to protect America and make it a safer and better place to live for Americans.

Republican! I don't like some of the things the Republican party has been doing recently, like sucking up to the Christian Taliban here in the US but; the Democrats are a bunch of traitors. They tried to lose to the Soviet Union during the cold war and are doing it again with Al Qaeda right now.
I will always vote Republican even when they deny me the right to marry the man I love. It's better than being red, or muslim.

I'm somewhere between Constitutionalists and Libertarian. I believe the federal government is to restrictive. Its not governments job to provide "welfare", that is what the churches are for. Its not the governments job to tell me what I can eat, or if I can smoke, or when I can excrete my waste. I believe in complete freedom of religion.
The Democrats are nothing more then a bunch of Stalinists.
The Republicans have left the conservative roots they once up held to morph into a corporate welfare state.

Democrat, but jaded by a political system where people are lulled into believing that they love America if they are one thing, and are sheep if they are independent. Wedge issues like gays, abortion, war and crime have always been used to prevent any real unification of socioeconomic groups.

The Democratic party may be a sucker for lobby money and other unsavory things just like the Rethuglicans, but they cannot be worse than a party that would put a war criminal, George Bush, up for election than reelection.

I am torn between my beliefs and my wallet. I feel the republicans protect what money I have worked for but I believe Democrats lead the nation towards a better tomorrow.

I'm a liberal and I take capitalism over socialism.

Independent.

Republicans have a terrible way of dealing with everything, and the Democratic party don't always go that extra mile to do what is right.

I am a registered Democrat. I do not support the war, I feel that Bush cares more about the war than he does with our economy
