given line AB is congruent to line TU, find x if AB= x^2 (x squared) and TU=6x+16

I just started taking Geometry, so the closest answer I can get is that x = (the square root of: 6x) + 4. Maybe you can work it from there.

x^2=6x+16
x^2-6x-16=0 x= ((6+-10)/2= 8 or -2
