Unless your book or story takes place on another planet and has absolutely nothing to do with earth, just look to today's names.

It's highly unlikely that since in the past 1,000 years we haven't changed names much that humanity will just suddenly abandon naming conventions because they live in space.

Some sci-fi novelists seem to like the Arab-like names: El-jarezi, etc. I get lots of strange names for things from working on BookWorm. Don't know if that will work for "people" names. You might just try some common names and play with the letters, or check out other languages. For instance some languages do not need the number of initial vowels as English requires.
African names are quite unusual, and lyrical. Just play with some letters & words.
You could use the dictionary, and take parts of words for their meanings and combine them.
It bothers me to not be able to pronounce the name, but judging from successful fantasy & science-fiction, that is not the case for most readers.
Good luck!!

Be careful, going too far with names can make it hard for your reader to take your character seriously. Also we have no idea if you are looking for a guy or lady name. I would lean towards Max, Mike, John... the old strong staples that don't seem to be dying out. Using a short name can make your male character seem stronger.
You could probably go farther with a female name. Take something thats already familiar and give it a slight twist. Vondra, Alexia, Jazmin something that is a bit exotic perhaps. When I am stuck for a name I either rip off someone I know or hit the baby name websites.
