There's probably a simpler way to describe this, but it's been a while, remember to treat < and > like you would an equal sign and solve from there
3x-10 subtract 4 from both sides
3x-14 add 14 to both sides
3x subtract an x from both sides
2x<14
simplify
x<14

3x-10 Add 10 to each side and subtract x from each side and get
2x<14 divide each side by 2 and get
x<7 ANSWER
If you do the same thing to each side you have not disturbed the relation. Just like that other relation '='.
