I beleive it will be Tom Coughlin from the NY Giants. He took the team bowling during the preseason to try to improve morale. One afternoon of bowling is not going to hold over the entire season. He may be good coach, but I don't think he can inspire his players.

I would have to agree. The only other coach who might be in jeporady during the season would be Jack Del Rio in Jacksonville. Most of the other bad teams have relatively new coaches. There are rumors that Romeo Crennel might be fired after the season in favor of Bill Cowher, but I don't buy that. They'll give him more time with developing an offense around Brady Quinn. Herm Edwards might be in trouble as well. I can't see the Eagles firing Andy Reid, although he may step down at the end of the season because of his kids' legal problems.

It's a business. In my job I have an annual salary. In the NFL, the coaches have salaries as well. The only difference is their increases are sometimes known from year to year. If I'm a manager and doing a crappy job one year and am causing my company to lose money and valued employees, due to the lowered moral and lack of any chance of getting a bonus, should the CEO insist that I get to stay for the entire year? By the time the year is over there is a lot of damage control that would need to happen to keep people happy. Firing the coach that is ineffective tells the other employees (players and other coaches) that you're serious about righting the ship. No need to use to a cup to keep the ship afloat if you have other boats waiting to help you out.

I think you're exactly right. But his team is crippled right now..that's not fair. Besides him, the only other guy I can think of is Romeo in Cleveland. People want to see Brady Quinn. If he doesn't put Quinn in, fans might get pissed and the organization doesn't want to lose money or more seasons...

But Tom Coughlin is the most likely.

Since San Diego won Sunday, 1 - 0, Norv Turner. They fired Marty when they had one of the best records last year.

Romeo Crennel in Cleveland - the guy is a total joke! He names a starting QB and then benches him after the first quarter of the first game, and then trades him! I've NEVER heard of anything so stupid! Neither have the guys on ESPN.

Toss up between the Giants HC and Clevelands.

Crennel. Cleveland's horrid.

Though I wouldn't be surprised to see Gruden or Coughlin go.
