Love, be who you are and that's a strong, intelligent "BLACK" man. People are always going to have opinions and that's OK.. Just remember the face that you see each morning in the mirror.. Never forget nor deny your blackness & roots. But quickly forget the negative words that come out of negative people mouths. You have a choice take it or leave it...Keep your head up and stay focused... And stand proud to be a intelligent black king with a goal and a future, make a difference by acting and not reacting a certain way. All great men and women were once talked about and ridiculed people went so far as to publicly state " they we'ren't "black enough". Help me to understand, is it wrong to be an intelligent, well spoken, knowledgeable, educated " Black male or female? Or is speaking broken english " keeping it real?.. What's real is that Ignornace don't get you full scholarships ..Thinks about it.

To me its no black or white, its just a question of literacy. saying people "act" black or act white is crazy to me. I have asian cousins that were raised where there were lots of white people that listened to rap and country area, to me they just act teh way they were raised or influenced by things. Nor is being a black or white thing to me i feel. Its crazy that you have to speak slang or mispronounce and people who arent white are acting within their cultural bounds, but if they are very literate or learned and act thatw ay and proud of being learned , they are labeled as "acting" white in the eyes of some people.

Be how you are and be proud of it . Don't worry about others. Lots more will be at your side than talking behing your back

I don't know what year of school you're in, but...

...as you move into the real world, you'll encounter this sort of thing less and less. GROWN FOLKS of all races invariably come to learn that it is very improper to belittle or criticize people just because their skin color "doesn't match" how they're supposed to speak and act.

Just be yourself. Don't worry about labels. I know that's easy for me to say, but could the people who say these things to you know that it bothers you? If they do, nothing you do will make them stop. Instead, act as if you don't care. I know it will be hard at first, but you will be able to take the power they have over you back.

Racists are hard to deal with. The simple answer is ignore them. Try to find people who share your interests and accept you. Ignore the racists as best you can. Please don't go eminem, and change your personality to fit in with the very people who are terrorizing you.
