It sound like it low and the low pressure switch is turning the AC off. When it start getting warm open the hood and see if the Clutch is engaged for it to turn. IF, it have too much freon this could also cause this. Now, if you say the freon OK, then find your Radiator. On the front of the Radiator is another Radiator, you will see hoses from the AC going to it. Look at the front and see if it clogged with whatever. If it is, when the car is cool just take a water hose with a spray nozzle and spray through the Radiator from the engine side and try to clean it out.

I will stand with the others as how did you check it? Without proper manifold gages, you have no clue. Many times, the filters or other parts in the freon stream can become restricted or plugged. This needs to be looked at by a certified (sorry, I'm Canadian, we have law's) Technician to find out exactly what is happening.

This concern is through a intense idle adjustment being set incorrect. right this is the way it truly works and precisely what's happening. The AC compressor makes use of the engine to function and the quantity of horsepower required to coach it truly is significant in comparison the quantity of HP generated by ability of a sluggish turn engine (idle velocity). so as to maintain the AC from choking down and killing an idleing engine, the motor has an digital solinoid that strengthen the idle velocity whilst it detects the AC is grew to become on. This idle strengthen additionally occurs (on some greater recent fashions or those with autos too small for automobile) whilst the Alternator senses a huge draw and desires greater RPT to maintain up with the draw of electricty. for that reason your automobile is looking to up the idle for the AC and because you have different electric powered attracts on the automobile (oil temp greater which forces the secondary followers on) that's the place the upward thrust in velocity comes from. that's usually a sturdy element and is often purely a small volume of RPM strengthen that's barely adequate to capture up on the standards of the AC. regardless of the undeniable fact that, i've got faith on your case this intense Idle adjustment is set too intense and for that reason bringing your engine velocity up greater advantageous than needed. a thank you to repair, nicely, this intense idle adjustment may be in distinctive places. however the 1st place to look is the place the throttle linkage attaches to the air plenum (or carborators on older fashions) and seek for the place the rotating mechanism sits against an ajustable screw or solinoid. to help locate it, have somebody interior the automobile (no longer working) press on the gasoline peddle and you will see what strikes. Now, seek for a factor the place the throttle assemble area that strikes relax whilst the guy interior the automobile shall we off the gasoline. What you're searching for would have an electric powered cord linked to it. some intense idle solinoids are adjustable and a few are actually not. regardless of if it truly is adjustable, you ought to work out surprisingly actual a thank you to alter. If no longer, you will would desire to replace it. some truly new autos do no longer use the throttle adjustment yet alter issues electronically. those are slightly tricker to repair... yet i do no longer think of you have this type. sturdy good fortune and that i desire this enables!

You could have a bad expansion valve. If the valve is wide open, the refrigerant wouldn't have a chance to cool completely before entering the evaporator.

id like to ask how you checked it,that cant be done without pressure gages hooked up to it,its probably low on freon is whats causing it to do that ,you can have it charged back up,that should make it work better, there's no way to check the freon level without gages to check it with, good luck on it.

How did you check it? You need to get a gage and check the low pressure side, it should have 25-45 psi on it, if it is lower get a can of R134 and add it to the low pressure side.
