Do you look better in COOL colors:
white, pinks, cherry red, coral, lemon, mint, jade, forest, sky, royal, navy, lavender, plum, gray, black, and silver jewelry?
or WARM colors:
ivory, tomato red, peach, orange, rust, golden yellow, lime, kelly, olive, aqua, turquoise, teal, purple, caramel, coffee brown, and gold jewelry?
Choose a bright or vibrant pastel - black is done to death, and will make you hard to find at the dance.Try on different colors with a friend or relative whose judgement you trust.
Add a pair of gold, silver, or skin tone strappy sandals with a matching bag, and you are set for almost any dance.
Don't forget a pretty wrap.

You should look for color opposites (look at the color wheel), so blues would work with your hair.
I think any dark colors--like royal purple, deep red, dark green, navy blue, black....will do the trick!
Best of luck!
