I always take my shoes off when I enter my house. It is a rule that everyone takes them off inside. When I go to someone elses house I always offer to take them off as I am so used not wearing shoes indoors I feel weird walking around the house unless my shoes are off.

I'm from the Canadian north - yes I do and so do most other folks. However when I visited some folks down in Texas they thought it was quite amusing that I always took my shoes off when I came in. -Guess it's a cultural thing.

Absolutely! Yes and yes!
Whenever possible, I get rid of my shoes and wander around in just socks. It's way more comfortable. Shoes suck!

They're off the minute I walk in and the dogs stop greeting me. And I keep them on in other people's homes.

I do if I'm asked, or if I'm at families I do it just to be comfy
