HG475,
terrific question! I am reminded daily by what I do of the 9/11 event. I now choose to do things that show I will NOT be held back by terrorists. I have flown in the passed on 9/11, I arrange meetings on 9/11, and I also attend memorials out of dignity and respect for those who died on that day.

Most of all by way of work - most of what I do is within the realm of the prevention of such a thing occurring on our soil again.

For this question YOU get a star!

Best to you!

Gerry

I've often thought how "appropriate" it was- that the morning of 9/11 dawned so serenely. What could POSSIBLY go "wrong" on such a beautiful late Summer's day??! And it was like THAT across MOST of the Country- it turned out. A work-a-day Tuesday, where kids went off to school, business was as "usual", and nobody gave the future- a second thought. By Noontime of that day- EVERYBODY across the U.S. knew differently. And we haven't been the same- since. 'Tis a "cautionary tale" that mid-September morning; that you "Never KNOW" what can fall from a clear blue sky- and change the World forever... ... .

I think that many of our actions since that time have given the terrorists more of a victory than 9-11 did. Look at the loss of civil liberties under the "Patriot" Act. Invading a sovereign nation that (at the time) was no threat to the U.S. Our stock markets take a dive every time there is "chatter" from the "terrorists". They don't have to DO anything to us to affect us. We now live in fear.

9-11 was a surprising date for all us in the great USA. Everyone was enjoying the peaceful and stressful then all of a sudden WHAM!!! Bin Laden decides to hi-jack a airline planes and crash it 2 the twin towers in New York, which caused thousands of people 2 lose there innocent lives. One thing i dont get is how the hell did Bin Laden escape from the plane before it crashed to the buildings.
