you have to wait a week for the results to show.
you cant base the winner on just a day's worth of sales.
so wait till next week and search on yahoo for the sale numbers of their albums.

Kanye West won. 50 got love because he was from NY, but his first song was boring (should've started with I Get Money). Then his New Joint almost put everyone to sleep. He was visibly disappointed by the audience's reaction to his video, claiming that they weren't hyped because it had been leaked on Youtube. But this is the same type of audience who goes crazy day after day for the same videos over and over. His video was just terrible and boring. Then he repeatedly said that Kanye West couldn't get love from the audience like 50 did during and after I Get Money. Clearly Kanye did. The audience was going wild and rapping right along with him. When Jay-z came out they nearly lost it. 50 even resorted to calling some of the audience members haterz lol. Truely, Kanye killed it. I know the war isn't over, but Kanye won that battle. You can't tell 'em nothin.' lol

There was no "battle". It was a battle of whose album would out sell whose. According to Billboard.com Kanye is currently winning.

"It looks like 50 Cent is headed for retirement, if store reports continue to trend the way they were by mid-afternoon today (Sept. 11). 50 Cent had told SOHH.com that he would quit the rap game if his new G-Unit/Interscope album, "Curtis," was outsold by Kanye West's Def Jam set "Graduation," both of which were released today.

Sales data is finalized Sunday at midnight when the Nielsen SoundScan week officially ends, but early indications are that West will be the victor, at least in the first week."

The media won, hyping up a contest which amounts to nothing.

Imagine this happening 20 years ago - Stevie Wonder saying that if Prince sells more records than him, he'll quit the music biz.

It didn't happen - it wouldn't happen. The music spoke for itself & stood on it's own merit.

50 & Kanye's music contains so little substance, they need to resort to childish crap like this.

They both need to grow up.

you have to wait to see, but im inclined to think they might win in different ways. the people who dont want 50 cent to win will buy kanyes CD but the people who like 50 cent will want him to win

What are you talkin about? 106 and Park? They didn't battle. They just performed and answered questions. Pretty over-hyped. Jay-Z did come out for like 30 seconds and gave his thoughts on Kanye's "Big Brother" record.

If you're talkin about sales, then you gotta wait til the end of the week.

The day isn't over yet. We probably won't know until tomorrow. Sales will need to be tabulated after midnight Pacific time.
