You shouldn't say things like that. Athletics include much more than a few school sponsered team sports. And, in the end, it's not about the games that we play. It's about keeping our body fit and healthy. A healthy body makes you feel good, and this is it's own reward. If you like physical activity, then 'play hard', as they say. Find solo activities that you enjoy. The best rock climbers in the world, for instance, may have never played a lick of football, but most football players wouldn't make it to the summit of K2.

maybe you've just tried the wrong sports. In school, i was the least athletic person in the world, and i was always the last picked for teams, and everything. I could shoot a basketball, if i could ever GET the ball, i could serve a volleyball, but couldn't hit one back if my life depended on it and everything else i was just terrible at. But i recently took up bowling and i LOVE it and i'm actually pretty good at it for a "newbie"; i got a 117 my 3rd time bowling. So maybe you just need to try a lot of different sports until you find one you're good at. And if it still doesn't work, maybe sports just aren't your thing, but i'm sure there's other things you're good at so you could focus on those things. But don't be too quick to rule out sports, though, because there's a lot to choose from, for people of all shapes, sizes and athletic abilities, so i'm sure there's something out there for you.

team sports may not be for you, but if you want to be more active try taking a martial arts class, yoga at a gym after school, or just go walking or hiking on the weekends. You don't have to be on an athletic team to be more fit and active. Your health and wellness is more important than being part of a sports team.

It's ok. You should try disc golf. Not much athleticism needed. Great exercise ( your average course is about a mile to 3 miles long) and it keeps the mind sharp b/c you get to work towards and acheive goals.
Give it a try, you might be suprised how athletic you are!

I went through that. I just didnt try out--I knew beforehand what was going to happen. I got into weight lifting and then decided to try a fitness competition. I did very well for myself before drowning in politics--but that was beside the point.
