As the MLB playoffs approach, I want to know why you think Tim McCarver should be banned from the broadcast booth for the playoffs. OR if you like Tim McCarver, why you think Tim McCarver should not be banned.
I personally believe that his comments make no sence and his timing is terrible. Either he is stating something totally obvious, or he's spouting off some obscure bizare statistic. And regardless of his comments, he refuses to shut up when the ball is in play.
Please Tim, take a leave of absence for the month of October!

Either banned or thrown from the booth. He is horrible, in fact you can do the samething with Joe Buck. Baseball broadcast on tv should be both informative and entertaing and McCarver is neither. You want to get people to stop watching a ball game on tv pair McCarver with Hawk Harrellson and I'm sure literally see the people turning off their sets. Heck Joe Buck in there and they could call themselves the idiots. All 3 are so bad they deserve each other.

Go Tim McCarver. And take Joe Buck with you! It's hard to believe he was a player at all, let alone a good one. He is terrible, awful, bad. Those are on his good days. I say ban him, turn off his mike, or tell him some other team is in the post season and send him there, then put two high school teams out there with major league uniforms and see if he can tell the difference. I might listen to that.

There are many announcers that should not be allowed. McCarver as well as Joe Morgan, Hawk Harrelson, and Michael Kay should all be told to go away. These annoying people are a good reason to turn the volume down and enjoy the game on mute.

it truly is purely Tim being Tim. :) McCarver likes to hearken to himself talk. He would not think of roughly what he's asserting or the way it sounds. He says issues that he think of will make him sound clever, yet truly, they sound stupid. i'd say it truly is the case 75% of the time. i'm a pink Sox fan and that i do no longer precisely condone what Manny grew to become into doing...sitting out, asserting adverse issues approximately Boston to the media, making excuses, etc. yet look at what he's achieved for the gang. i could in no way hate Manny. I relish what he's achieved for Boston lots. If Tim McCarver have been a pink Sox fan, possibly he'd sense the comparable way.

Tim McCarver's time has come and gone. When he teams up with Joe Buck I have to fight to stay awake. Both are just horrible. If only everyone play by play guy could be as great as Vin Scully but unfortunately they're not. I think Harry Kalas is great as well, (voice of the Philadelphia Phillies).

I would rather get a prostate exam from a thick-fingered doctor who wears a Super Bowl ring than listen to McCarver.
Why Fox keeps bringing him back is beyond me - he must have some pictures of Fox executives in a compromising position.
I tried switching the TV volume off and listening to the radio but because TV is on a 7 second delay, the timing between the two is off so I'm forced to listen McWindbag.

The commish should ban him from baseball, I can`t stand him. Dion Sanders should dump on him. He can take Joe Morgan with him, he`ll make a point & beat it into the ground. Joe Buck can go & take Skip Caray, he`s grating on my nerves a bit.

I rather that Joe Buck is banned for the month of October. I'm so fed up with his obvious kissing up to Hollywood celebrities & thinking he's in the E-Channel instead of a baseball event.

If he does broadcast I would love to hear him admit that he was a loser in the 1968 World Series His team was up 3 games to 1 and blew when he made the last out of the world series. He popped out to Bill Freehan. That was a classic moment, and one I will never forget.
