New England had to upgrade their receiver corps, because you need great receivers to compete with the Colts in a shootout.

Don't worry about it. If Indy's defense stays healthy, along with Manning, I don't think anybody will be able to beat them in the post-season.

The Patriots did not even hit their salary cap last year. They did sign some very big free agents like Stallworth, Welker and of course Randy Moss this season. I don't know if that is buying a Super Bowl. That is the kind of accusation we Red Sox fans level at the Yankees, but in baseball there is no salary cap. In theory at least, NFL teams are on a more level playing field.

Every team in the league tries to buy a Super Bowl every year. That is what the draft and free agency is all about. Why do you think that even below average players are millionaires?

Yea you guys win one big game and you got our number

and you really can't "buy" a title in the NFL because of the salary cap...unlike the MLB

Buy a title? Isn't that what every team tries to do every year?
