I know exactly what you mean. A normal tragedy, if there can be such a thing, fades a bit in time, but that will never be allowed to fade In fact it gets clearer the more you think about it.

And then one must think of ALL who have died since, as a direct result of 9/11

God Bless and Help Bereaved.

That's a hard one. What can you say? I am sure you will come against lots of anger. Wow. I wouldn't know what to say, other than to sit there and cry with them. I guess you can just be a shoulder for the bereaved.

That their loved ones are not forgotten, that their death was not in vain, that we still care. I still think about 911 a lot, I did not lose anyone in that tragedy, but I wish I could tell all the family members there are millions of people that have not and will not forget that day. Ever.

I wouldn't know what to say. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it would be to lose somebody you love so unexpectedly like that, many at the prime of their lives. Would be especially distressing for husbands, wives and children of those who were murdered. I am very sorry for their loss, I am in Australia but I will never forget that day.

Something like how I admire them for getting on with life and not letting the terrorists stop them: there's something so strong and patriotic about Americans, especially in this tragedy and I kinda envy it as Brits aren't really like that (not to that extent anyway). I love how the victims' families have been bringing up their kids and teaching them all about daddy/uncle/grandad/mum/aunt that they lost and going back to work and going back to the site every year, not just to remember the people they lost but to show the terrorists that they're not scared.

I can remember the day like it was yesterday. I was in the sixth grade, and my teacher stepped outside then she turned the class television on. We all knew something was wrong, our teacher never turn the televison on. I was just sad.

I would say...I would just have been speechless but my thought and prayers are with them all

Even 6 years later, I still get tears in my eyes when I watch stories related to 9/11. I could only say I am so very sorry and let them know their loved ones are not forgotten.
