I feel a combination of both. But like everything else, the anger tends to subside and isn't as acute as it was a few years ago. Sure I'd love to see OBL caught and brought to justice. Do I feel that this would end terrorism? No.

I don't live my life in fear and didn't live in fear right after 9/11. The fear that I do have is placing people into office that might be complacent.

Sadness

Most people reacted with a combination of the two. Personally, I wanted OBL captured and brought to ground zero in New York in chains to help dig through the rubble.

Yes, it does; and vice versa. If your reaction is sadness rather than anger, I sure as hell wouldn't want you watching my back in a knife fight. OBL getting waxed would make me feel much better.

Both anger and sadness. The two aren't mutually exclusive. And, yes, OBL getting splattered would make me feel real real good.

Absolutely, OBL getting waxed would make me feel great.
So, if you watched one of your loved ones getting brutally attacked you'd just stand there and cry like a baby? Where's your backbone.
I get it. You're a woman.

I think it is very normal to feel both sadness and anger. As for Bin Laden I could plug that creep between the eyes and then sit down to a stake dinner with no problem.

I think it defines whether we are passive or passionate. It could be argued that the tendency to fight back is a dominant characteristic in terms of biological viability of one's genes. Personally, the more Al-Quaeda that get waxed, the better I feel!

One thing that makes me sad/angry/appalled about 911 is that the terrorists succeeded in making America more like them. America became more religious, more paranoid, more militant, more willing to see the world in over-simplistic black/white good/evil terms.

I think defining your life by a revenge action against OBL is letting him win.
