I have to figure out the Argument in this paragraph such as the : Claim (what an argument tries to prove), The grounds(the material the uniter uses to support the claim may be evidence) and The Warrant(the influence that connects teh calim to the grounds. it can be a belief that is taked for granted or something) Ok so this is the paragraph:
" Where areas, our argument shows that the power and capacity of learning exists in the sould already; and that just as the eye was unable to turn from darkness to light without the whole body, so too the instrumentof knowledge can only by the movement of the whole sould be turned from the world of becoming into that of being, and learn by degrees to endure the sign of being, and of the brightest and best of being, or in other words, of the good."

This essay is confusing and hard to understand. can someone help me figure these things please? thank you

I'll help you with this one. Maybe you can then do the others on your own.

CLAIM:
the instrumentof knowledge can only by the movement of the whole soul be turned from the world of becoming into that of being, and learn by degrees to endure the sign of being, and of the brightest and best of being, or in other words, of the good."

EVIDENCE:
just as the eye was unable to turn from darkness to light without the whole body,

WARRANT:
" Where areas, our argument shows that the power and capacity of learning exists in the soul already;

Good Luck!
