You've answered your own question. If its frustrating and boring do something about it. Think about how you will make it less frustrating and boring.

Go to your local hospital and volunteer for the children's Cancer ward, that will put boring and frustrated on the map for you. You might enjoy what these little guys have to say.
Not being mean, just letting you know at least you have a choice in life, and maybe this would be eye popping for you.

I suggest that you go volunteer somewhere -- with little kids, or at a soup kitchen. Being around people who are trying to improve their lives, and who really have good reason to be depressed (but aren't) are pretty inspiring.

Call your local YMCA, or look up "volunteer center" in your town and ask how you can help.

I bet you feel better about the world, and yourself!
