I think having Pennington come back again wouldn't be good for him or the team. Clearly the fans have spoken during Sunday's game after they cheered when he got hurt. Why would Pennington even want to play in front of those fans after that

Take him out behind the barn and shoot him. This kid has given his all (and half of his body parts) for the Jets. Jet's fans have no class.

I'm from Marshall, so I am a Pennington fan. That said, Chad is not an exciting qb. He is a possession quarterback who can get you 10-15 when you need 10 yards, but he gets 10-15 yards when you need 20. Also, the Jets defense is not very good.

Pennington would be a nice fit in Baltimore.

it wsas ****** terrbile what they did to my boy penny but the fans are divided i belong to an online jets message board and pennington still has alot of fans and the fans that like pennington are the ones that know more about football than the ones who dont. KC is not ready, he beat up on 2nd and third stringers...Every year that he has played more than 12 games they have made the playoffs and every year he hasnt played that many thye have a losing record. They ***** because he doesnt have a gun like Namath but he has more heart, mentality, and accuracy than any player who has every played

The thing that pisses me off is that they haven't found a way to trade or release the fans that cheered when he got hurt,he might just have been the only one that play his heart out in a losing effort,he could have sat in the bench and sulked, instead he went back into the game

I would say no because he is under contact with the Jets. Yeah, there was cheering going on because he was mostly out of the season with injuries. They (the fans) want to see the back up quarterback to do the throwing and passing. His backups did most of the throwing last year when he was injured.

He is a dependable, though fairly vanilla QB. I expect he will be replaced by Kellen Clemens at some point(they seem fairly intent on getting him playing-time once and a while), but they seem to be in no hurry in that regard. I wouldn't feel bad with him as my starter on a team, though I would be sure to have a good back-up and perhaps seek to replace him if I felt I needed a QB better at winning games...

They should quit making it so easy for other teams to steal their signs. I have seen better jobs of it at the high school level.

Btw: Keep Chad, it's not like he's Rex in Chicago.

I think they could get some value for him, so it definitely be to their advantage to trade him. Falcons might be an option.

I agree. I doubt they would just release him though and I am not sure who would trade for damaged goods.
