I wouldn't do it, personally. Because if they don't get your address, they can stalk your phone and run your minutes up. DD8;;

Yes, the person can find out where you live (roughly) by your "area code".
Example:
For a few places in British Columbia, the area code is (250). So if you gave her your number with the area code it would look like this: (250) 123 - 1234
Do you get it? So yes she could. I wouldn't give anyone your phone number. Just email. That's all. And if you both wanted to hear eachothers voices, use the Yahoo calls on the yahoo messenger. ^_^ That's what I do - and of course I made a fake yahoo account so I wouldn't have creeps sending me emails all the time.

Second, how do you know she's a girl or someone your age? You really should do some googlin to read case histories of people who were duped on-line. This is serious stuff. Some of those people are criminals, sex offenders, rapists, murderers, kidnappers and just foul! Just because a message says you are talking to a chick that doesn't make it true!
Try to meet someone you can see face to face and have access to.

Personally, I wouldn't give out my phone number to anyone online-especially in myspace. Also, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving out my home address as well, because no one is trustworthy. You need to be extra because you don't know what's in store for you and ANYTHING can happen!

If you give anyone any detials at all, they can find you and find out about and even your friends and family.
They can steel your money, attack you and infect your computer systems and the list goes on.
DO NOT give out such information unless you know them very well.

Let me say you just gave me your postcode and I siad that I want to mail you, that would mean that I could track your adress, and then find you on say Google Earth and then go and kidnap you and kill you or something else.
If you gave me your telephone number, I may pester you on the line all day and night and make nasty threats to your family.
If you told me your credit card code, I could steall all your money until your bank account is sucked dry.
Now imagine what I could do with 3 peaced of information.
Do not give any data to anyone, there are people out there that want to enploit people like you.

If you give her your home number and you don't have a non-published number then yes she can find out were you live. If you have a cell phone number to give her it would be safer. Worst thing that can happen with a cell phone is you would have to change your phone number.

she can find out your address if you give her your house number without a problem and for free...however you did say text so im guessing its a cell phone...the only way she can find out your address is if she pays to see your phone bill online! Damn the internet lets you do whatever you want now a days!

She can sooo easily get your info. Theres sites that allow you to look up numbers and who they belong to. Then when you get the name of the persons number, you search the name and they can get your address.

yeah she can find out ur address....don't give it to her...unless ur absolutely certain like if u've met her...cuz theres a thing called google and if they have ur number it's even more easy to get ur address cuz theres only one place with ur number...i would never take that chance...
