Out for lunch for my stepdaughters b-day. My hudsband had to leave later when we were celebrating at our house because his brother died in the building. He had to drive 45 minutes to cheer his mom up.

Working as a teacher at a special ed. school. Everyone there watched the news until the poice came to tell us everyone was to go home. My workplace in CIeveland was close to the airport, which played a pretty major role in the saga of Flight 93 (look it up). Wright -Patterson Air Force Base is not all that far away in Dayton, and fighter jets were all over the place. It was scary. When we left the school, we went to a co-workers house where we drank, smoked, and hung out all night. She had a hot tub there in which I ended up hooking up with a girl with whom there was a mutual crush, that had gone unspoken until then. I read later that this kind of thing happens a lot in traumatic situations.

I was at home,I had just started my vacation, I had not had one in 5 years. I Got a brand new PC and was messing around with it and saw the news flash. I was shocked, I went to my dad's and drank some coffee and the 2nd plane hit.
Then we had news of the Pentagon getting hit. I had a bad feeling about that. I thought Armageddon was coming.
I got mad as hell. It was a sad day. I will not forget it.just like when Kennedy got shot I was in 3rd grade. I came home and got made because I was missing cartoons.

At school, in year 11 on the other side of the world. I live in Australia and I didn't even know what the twin towers were. We didn't hear about it until the day after coz our time is about 12 hours ahead of USA.

I was in 5th grade and I was in my violin class. My insttructor came running back and said "It just fell..." His assistant said "What fell??" then he said "The World Trade Center...Its all over the news" It had just happened so he didn't know very much information apparently. Back then I didn't even know what the World Trade Center was. All my friends were getting checked out and by the end of the day there were only about 5 kids in my class...It was all over the radio/TV and it was so scary at the time...

Hungover on the morning of September 11th after a night out with my best friend, closing out the bar and hitting a bottle club. Later at his house the next day, we flipped channels minutes after the tragedy happened. We watched for a bit then went back to the bar to talk with our Dart League buddies on what happened.

I was at school, too. I was 16 when it happened and I will never forget that either. I was just getting over the death of Aaliyah. I went to school in upstate NY, so a lot of kids were worried about their parents that worked in NYC.
