you're not supposed to celebrate halloween at all if you're a true christian because it is a celebration of darkness.

i was raised baptist too but i'm a heathen so i would go but from what my super religous friends tell me, it's a no no.

same thing with easter. you're supposed to be celebrating the resurrection of Christ not idolozing a bunny.

personally i think God loves you no matter what and if you are blessed enough in life that you can afford to go to an amusement park then you should go and have fun.

I'm a Christian and I celebrate Halloween.....it's not like I worship Satan and make sacrifices on October 31st! I have fun and go trick or treating, or I watch scary movies. Celebrating Halloween isn't bad; it's just a night to dress up in costumes and have a goo time. So don't feel guilty going to the Fright Fest, because it's all in good fun! :)

Yes you can go. Free will exists. Just do not add to the Halloween celebration. Do not dress up or dress up as a Bible character at worst. Bring some tracts that tell about the origin and nature of halloween to help you to witness to your cousin, uncle and aunt and others you may see. Just in some way turn this into a missionary journey for yourself. But do not forget to have a good time with your relatives too.

I've just read the messages already left and I'm happy that most said to go and enjoy the night with your friends. Halloween was once one of the most sacred of days. Not because it was about Satan, but because it was a celebration of the end of the harvest season. It was the time before the lean months of winter and people rejoiced in the food they had grown. Yes sacrifices of food were made to the God/Gods/Goddess of the time (you still give a sacrifice every week in modern churches-it's called a donation or tithe to support the church).
But back to Halloween, please go out and be with your friends appreciate the things you have and the family and friends you have. And if it makes you feel better give a pray to your God that every one you meet will one day enjoy the peace you feel through your God.

Oh yeah, at the end of the night wish me a happy birthday and I will send thoughts of good will and understanding to you.

You can go if you want to. In 1 Corinthians, Paul talks about how Christians were to behave in a pagan city. More or less, he told the Corinthians not to eat food sacrificed to idols.

The attempt of Christian ministers to malign Halloween to the point of locking your door with the lights out is a totally bad reaction to what Jesus told us to do. We were told to go out into the world and spread the good news. What better place to go and witness than on Halloween where all the "freaks" are.

Have fun, be a "light to the world".

"Halloween," actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hollows Day" (or "All Saints Day"), is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints. See the link for more information.

To the best of my knowledge, Six Flags Frightfest is not religious activity. Enjoy the party and know you will not participating in a pagan ritual.

If as a Christian you wish to palpitate in the observance of All Saint's Day, we'd love to see you in church.

Hey guy - I am a christian also, and I would go to six flags. Being a christian doesn't mean that you can't have fun on holloween. You sound like you have been talking to my mother-in-law. She was againt holloween. It is one of my favorite hollidays.

Just don't believe in all of the rituals jazz and keep it clean. You will be alright. I think God will understand.

With whom did Christ spend most of his time..not including the apostles? Sinners. So, go have fun, but just don't buy into the whole "Halloween" idea. It's OK to enjoy life while you are in the world. God didn't want us all to be unhappy and bored out of our minds. Just so you don't suddenly become a pagan, I think you'll be alright.
