I'm pretty damn sure it's my period since it comes faithfully every month with all the fun symptoms. but is it normal to have a light brownish/orangeish period?

Sure it's normal. Period blood can range from dark brown to light red/orange. Remember, most of it isn't really blood, it is the lining of your uterus.
