in my car, driving, thinking of mess they did

Asleep at my folks house. My mom got me up and said I had to see the news cause the first tower had just been hit. Thought it was some stupid joke until I saw the TV, then I was thinking it sounded so much Tom Clancy's "Debt of Honor." In the book, published in 1994, the US has just come off a second war with Japan (well, a bit less of an actual war really) and a Japanese airline pilot crashes a 747 into the Capitol Building, killing nearly all senators and representatives along with the President. Unlike the 9/11 attacks, the pilot was working alone on the spur of the moment really. He'd lost family in the war and was getting his revenge.

I was at work in upstate NY...I heard the report on the radio of the first plane striking the tower...there were few details at the moment and I didn't think a whole lot of it, I figured a small plane lost control and hit the tower, didn't seem outrageous...then a few minutes later I heard about the second one and that they were passenger jets. My first thought was not of terrorists but rather I thought some crazy Americans actually hijacked these planes. It was upsetting at it was only a couple hours drive from us, alot of people working where I was had family and friends down there and were naturally upset and concerned. We set a TV up in the upstairs conference room so everyone could follow what was happening. A good friend of mine was concerned about his sister who worked in the area and was nearly in tears, and finally he reached her by phone and found out she was alright. She had witnessed some awful things though. I remember filling up my car with gas because I had a feeling we were going to be at war VERY soon and who knows if there would be gas. Just awful feelings all around....

I was working the graveyard shift at a Nev. Casino, dealing poker. We had a TV in the poker room and I was watching the news when it came on. I was on break. I went to the two poker tables that were going and told the dealers and players. People were coming in from the rest of the casino to see our TV. Some of the players got up and watched for a couple of min , then to back to their poker games. I was in shock. I couldn't believe these guys could play while all of this was going on and people were dying! I lost all respect for poker players that day. I got off work a couple of hours later, went home and watch the news for a solid month, crying everyday. Though the years there have been many stories on TV. I shouldn't watch them, but I can't help myself. I cry every time.

On that horrible day, I lived in California and so it had already happened. But anyway, I was about to leave for work and my mom called me and told me to turn the TV on. I remember seeing the second one collapsing at that moment. My stomach dropped and i was torn between going to work or staying home. I decided Id have to go to work (I had just started the job a week ago) and the rest of the day was uneasy. My job was behind Ontario International Airport and so there was police everywhere barricading any possible entry from the back areas of theairport. I remember when it was lunchtime, I went to my car and listened to the radio, which was totally different. Every station was talking about the event. And I cried for a few minutes then I had to go back to work.

I was driving to work and heard the DJs announce it. It was a rock station with a comedy morning show and they seemed really confused and upset about what was happening. They weren't sure if it was an accident, an attack, or what. I turned the dial over to NPR who were talking about it as an accident at first, then the 2nd plane hit and it became obvious that it was an attack. When I arrived at work, I was the only one to have heard about it and we looked up the news on the Internet - we were all silent as it sank in what was going on.

I was the supervisor at the time, so I sent everyone home - then I went home and hugged my little girl.

I was in the shower, getting ready for work. My daughter came upstairs and told me that the Today show reported that the World Trade Center in New York was bombed or blew up somehow. I finished showering and got dressed and watched as the world discovered the horrifying truth about the matter. What a nightmare that day and the following days were for all of us.

I was in school at my desk sitting with my eyes wide. the teacher wasnt in the room, she had left to cry. I just took off the hat I was wearing and I started to 'pray' it was more like wishing. The girl next to me just started sobbing and leaned her head on my shoulder. i just rubbed her back gently and tried to calm her. I knew something was wrong but I didnt know what. later that day I found out, I had lost two cousins in 9/11. I went to school and remained numb for the rest of the week. On the last day of that week I started a program called king kids memorial. we sent money and items to the memorial and placed a plack outside.

Watching in horror as the REMFs that ran the city made the situation worse ( as usual )... Wondering if our president would grow some balls ( he didn't ) and demand that the terrorist supporters show themselves. That MIGHT save them from a BIG NUKE.....but a SMALL NUKE will be coming when we find out WHO supported them.

Lord Palmerston's axiom: nations have no permanent allies, only permanent interests.

And since it was done in the name of ISLAM, ISLAM will bear the brunt of our wrath. 10kt over MECCA ( roughly the energy of ONE WTC Collision ), The NEXT 10Kt explosion over the ROCK, unless ALL ISLAM PUBLICLY DENOUNCES that terrorist act on 9/11. That would have stooped the crap we deal with today....

On September 11, I was in the process of packing up my house in Lakeville, MN and moving to a condo in Burnsville, MN. When I heard the news report, I was in my basement smoking a cigarette and drinking tea. I was home alone, and my dog was sitting on my lap watching TV with me. I had on blue jeans and a gray long-sleeved sweat shirt. I remember it like it was yesterday because I was so stunned.
