Send her back to her own country she doesn't belong here if she isn't visiting. I hate illegal aliens who come to this country with out going through the proper channels. Because of illegal aliens I can't get any help myself because I'm not a minority. I consider myself a minority cause you can't go anywhere without being in Mexico here in the United States. I have no problem with those who come here legally. But I was born and raised here and am tired of the injustices of illegal aliens inflicting on this country. I'm 51 and disabled do you think if I went to another country illegally that I would get benefits, I think not. Sorry I have no sympathy for your Grandmother.

I would say apply for social security benefits but if she isn't a citizen then I'm not sure if she can receive any benefits. Best of luck. It took my mother 3 years to receive disability benefits from the government.

In all honesty I would deny any benefit for non citizens no matter what.
Disability is an exclusive right to the working citizens of the US, anything else is pure and simple fraud!
I'd suggest you go back home wherver you come from and apply for whatever befenit there!

Ooo. Harsh answers!

But yeah, you're not going to have a lot of luck with government benefits for a non-citizen. One has to have paid into the system to get benefits.

You might check with your local Salvation Army or AARP chapters to see what sort of community outreach is available though.

You need to contact social services in your community - they can help you apply and even tell you what documentation she needs to provide to receive the benefit. If she worked in the USA ans has lived here for a very long time there are clauses to assist her and she may be able to apply for citizenship or naturalization in the mix. Good Luck!

I'm sorry that your grandmother is disabled, but if she never paid into the system, how can you expect to get anything back. This is where you as a loving family take care of her in her older age. Please don't expect everyone to give you charity, because this country is going broke helping everyone else that has come here and not contributed anything to the pot.

I'm sorry that your Grandmother is disabled, but if she is not a citizen of this country, she is not entitled to any government benefits.

I would think she would have to be a citizen, to get any benefits, from the US government, even if she is disabled. Have a good evening.

If she has a green card and paid into medicare, and/or Social security she may have a chance of collecting benefits! If no to both she is probably out of luck from the Government, but look to other charitable organizations in your are; like churches and such might be able to help her out!
