It means congruent. If triangle ABC congruent triangle DEF, then AB= DE, BC = EF and CA = FD. Also angle A= angle D,
angle B= angle E and angle C = angle F.
In other words, the two triangles are identical and one could be placed on the other so that the triangles coincided perfectly. This applies to any geometric plane figures that have all corresponding sides equal and all corresponding angles equal.
If to gemetric figures have all corresponding angles equal, but their corresponding sides are not equal, then the figures are said to be similar.

It means congruent. In other words, if two things are congruent they are exactly the same shape and size.
