Nope. It depends on where you live (state? country?) but generally speaking, the answer is "no." Your information is confidential. However, if you have a contageous disease and refuse treatment, the rules change a bit because then you have become a danger to yourself and others. Your parents should be taking you to the gynecologist from the age of 15 or 16 regardless of sexual activity.

It is the Hippocratic Oath that doctors must take that they will not reveal patients files etc. Today many doctors have you sign a release if they can reveal info to other parties. You can check this out.

NO! You are protected under the federal law of HIPPA.... long story short... only medical information can be released at your say so. You should go to your local planned parenthood. They are reputable and very helpful for teenage girls. Secondly, I must say this... I hope you are using condoms to protect yourself. The pill is wonderous, but it wont protect you from std's and aids.

This may vary dependant on local laws where you live, but normally a Dr is unable to release your medical information to ANYONE without your permission, irrespective of your age.

In order for them to do that, you'd have to sign a release stating that it is okay to speak to your parents about your treatment, etc. So, no worries, your parents won't be told anything.

No. I was 17 and it was all confidential when I went. When she went to ask me personal questions my mom had to leave the room even if i didn't care if she stayed.

no they do not tell your parents what you reveal about your sexual history. But, if you require treatment for something (sexual related or otherwise) you parents will be required to give consent.

No! It would go against state laws. however, they would need your parents' permission if you needed surgery or some other type of treatment or invasive test.
