Ok..my eagle 85 wagon's headliner is down the drain not just the fabric but the backer board itself is falling apart. where can i purchase a new backer board? or how can i create one? whats the material used?

you can go through a dealer and get a new one,that's about the only way unless you find a good one in a salvage yard,its pressed fiberglass usually is what these are made of,and they don't like getting wet either,i usually find some good boards at a salvage yard,they charge 25 bucks if you take them out,and the dealer charges well over 200 big difference in price on the two,any auto upholstery shop can put new material on it for you ,if you can find a good board,good luck with it,all the work is in getting these up and down,hope you find one.

Check the Jeep dealerships. Jeeps did not change much over the years. I think you can get a new one from a dealer. Most upolstery shops can get one for you. There should be no problems getting one. You could even check with a wrecking yard, they will not sell the thing to you if it is junk unless they are crooks. I would go to an upolstery shop. That way you can probably have the thing done for you all at once. Check it out and good luck.

Dealer, salvage yards or a trim shop may be able to fabricate for you.
