There are several available options for you. Some are inexpensive (less than $125), some can cost you up to $1,000 to get set up.

Cheap

Gemmy.com is producing several airblown inflatables this year that will light up and play up to 6 songs. They look cool and will cost you about $130. You do not have any control of your lights, the inflatable's lights or the tunes it plays. (seen here: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=6371171 )

A Mr. Christmas offers you a way to turn your lights on and off to their preprogrammed music. I think there are 10 songs. Mr. Christmas is available at Walmart this year for under $100. It is only rated for about 12 amps, or about 40 strands of minilights. If you want more than that, you will need to consider:

Expensive:

Light - O- Rama and Animated Lighting offer you ways to control your lights to music you select. By using their software, you tell the lights to turn on, off, shimmer, twinkle, to the beat of the music.

Depending on your technical abilities, you can get started here at $165 - $300 or up to $1000 for the equipment and software required.

An alternative to both of those is the hardware produced by Dlights. Coming in at $100 a unit, this would be your best bet if you are able to operate a soldering iron.

To broadcast your music (the FCC allows you about 200 ft without a license), you can use a Belkin Transmitter ($30), a Ramsey FM transmitter ($140-$350), or a PC Card ($200-$300).

Invest in some outdoor speakers. They're easy to use and you can play whatever christmas music you want.

Here are some sites:
