Is it scary??? I dont like huge drops, but i think since the TZTOT is more structured than a roller coaster, and your looking frontwards, not down. Thx for all answers!

You are in a car with about 15 other people all looking straight ahead. And your feet are planted on the floor; they are not dangling in mid air.... like some of the other free fall rides.

It is one of my favorite thrill rides ever!!! The first time you go on will be the best/scariest. Even though (as other posters stated) the ride is never the same twice in a row... you still sort of know what's coming and what to expect.

Try it and you will be addicted!!

Well, it's nothing like a roller coaster. You walk into this room and they show you a Twilight Zone movie about the ride so you get more understanding for it. Then you walk through and board these elevators. It takes you up and you glide through what supposed to be the haunted hotel with mirrors and stars (it's all dark).
You'll know before you drop though. It's not a surprise if you've been on it before. Before you drop, it opens a window so you look out above all of MGM. Then you drop. The drops come at random since a computer changes the amount of drops each ride will have. But it's really not that bad. My grandparents still go on it and there 67 and 65 (there not roller coaster people either). I think you can handle it! ;-)

Good luck! I think you'll enjoy it!

It is a bit scary because you know you'll be up high and be falling. I had never been on anything like that before but gave it a try. The theming is great and tons of details. You dont reallly know when you'll be dropped but then the windows open and you see that you are at the top. You dont have anything to hold onto except if your on an aisle. It drops you a few times randomly. They take your picture too, so dont look tooo scared. lol At first my reaction was omg why would anyone think that is fun. The second i went to DW i didnt go on it but now that i'm going a 3rd time i may-just because it is soo awesomley themed. Hopefully the drop wont be so bad. I would say try it once, you'll live. Have you tried Rockin Rollercoaster? I cant decide if i should go on it, i've never been upside down and i dont like to be disoriented. Have fun!

Tower of Terror looks much scarier than it really is. The best part of the ride is not the drops, but the story that is attatched to the ride, and the visuals that are inside the ride. The drops are kind of anti-clamatic. They happen so quickly, you don't hardly notice. It's like a fast elevator. For more thrills, Rock 'N' Roller coaster has many more.

THIS CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS. DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE RIDE.

having said that. the ride is kind of strange. why? because its not what you expect. like most Disney rides, it is designed to look like something else other than a ride. it looks like a old hotel. now most of the drops happen in almost complete darkness. only when they open the doors at the top of the ride do you see the "outside word". some people i have gone on it with have not be able to tell if they were going down or up because of that. and each seat has its own seat belt so you feel really safe. hope that helps.

Tower Of Terror, regardless if it's in Florida, California, France or Japan, is basically a drop-ride. So, if you don't like drops, you're not going to like this ride.

There are some mildly scary elements to this ride as well. For example, the lights going out in the Library, the creepy basement you're in while you wait for the ride vehicle, and the very dark conditions while you are on the ride vehicle itself.

Its intense.. but its a lot of fun. Its a different sensation than a roller coaster drop. Instead of feeling weight you feel weightlessness. Its definitely worth trying. If you don't like (which I highly doubt) you won't have to ride it and it will be something you have done. The imagineers did a great job theme-ing the attraction, and its creepy and very cool. Have fin on your trip!!

i have never been on the one at wdw, but i LOVE the one out here at caa. it is not a coaster, it is an elevator type ride. it is a very different experience. if you have ever been on a tower ride (for example, supreme scream out here at knotts or superman at many sixflags parks), it is much like that, except you are inside. the theming is amazing, and i definently recommend going on it. as another said, if you don't like it, you never have to go on it again. but it really is a magnificent ride, and it is extremely fun. it is a bit scary the first time, since you don't really know what happens, but it is fun. i'm sure you will enjoy it! :)

The ride doesnt ever stay the same... they have a super computer there that changes the stops and drops at random so the expirence will never be the same
