No, I never imagined it could happen to me, I refused to believe it when I first found out.
Last year when my mom got cancer, my world came crashing down around me. I didn't know how it happened or when, all I knew was that she had it. My mom had thyroid cancer in her left thyroid (that's in your throat). The doctor's said it would have to be removed to save her.
After the surgery the doctor refused to smile, he looked grim and apologetic when he told her he would have to remove the right thyroid as well. I couldn't believe it. I've never liked doctors and this just added fuel to the fire. They kept her in the hospital for about a week. After she got out she had to go straight to an isolated hotel room where she had to spend the next two weeks alone because of the radiation.
She came home to us and is still with us to this day. She's had a few problems and has to take certain pills for the rest of her life but she's alive.
That was one of the largest impacts in my life that I will not soon forget. My mom is a strong woman and will continue to fight through all her struggles with God on her side!

I always thought I was immune to it, but it does happen to me and the people I love. Anything can happen to anyone at anyone time.

If it happens no one will ever know until the person himself/herself expressed in words/actions/behavior.
words can not convey it happening or not.

Nope. Never saw it coming. We broke up, he lied, he cheated and pretended it was no big deal. I had this perfect image of this man and it turned out he's so much worse than the rest.

I never thought i'd find 'the one' and get married. I never thought i`d be selfless, and i never thought i`d finally grow up. So yeah, i never thought it could happen.
