I actually felt physical pain, I had a dream I got shot in my arm. I woke up right away and my arm was hurting so bad. I actually felt pain? how could this happen?

OMG THAT HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME. LIKE I CAN ACTUALLY FEEL MYSELF GETTING SHOT DURING THE DREAM AND WHEN I WAKE ME. ME AND MY COUSINS HAD A HUGE CONVERSATION ABOUT IT AND IT HAPENS TO THEM TOO. I THINK ITS NORMAL, JUST ANOTHER MYSTERY OF LIFE. MAYBE A PSYCHOLOGIST WOULD KNOW THE ANSWER TO WHY THAT HA[PPENS

You could actually have an illness that you are only noticing, or is only occuring while your body is at complete sleep, i.e. sleeping. Then, your body tries to create a dream that fits the pain so that you subconciously think the dream is causing the pain. Try thinking about what you were doing the day these dreams happened. Did you have a strenuous workout? Or trip, stub your toe, close something on your hand...anything out of the ordinary that should have caused pain instantly? You were probably so busy that you would have not noticed the pain,and then when you sleep....ta da, the body is relaxed, and boom pain.

This happens to me all the time; I always have EXTREMELY vivid dreams, usually bad, where I get chased, where I can fly, I can get hurt and have even been killed a few times. I have no idea why. I feel your pain.

maybe u slept over your arm so u felt pain and u dreamed about felling pain in your arm .

Me too. I had a dream that I purposely fell of a cliff.
My great grandma had a dream that she was hit in the eyes by robbers. When she woke up, she ended up being blind. ^true story^

stuff like that has happened to me........ like sometimes when my alarm goes off, i hear the music in my dream. it felt like the music was apart of my dream. maybe you hit your arm against something and in ur dream, and it felt like getting shot. or maybe you were thinking about guns before you went to bed.

Well i had a similar dream like that accept I was stab in the hand but when i woke up i wasn't stab but my hand was herting really bad

I guess the pain from your dream registered in your mind and it couldn't differentiate dream from reality.

yea stuff like that has happened to me. you may have been pinching yourself to wake yourself up. or just exhaustion
