Brrrring! Brrrring! Brrrring! Then five notes up, then seven notes down, like a pyramid. What is the number and/or key? Thanks, it's driving me nuts!

Being that Scarlatti composed so many piano sonatas, this is practically impossible. That being said, I will venture a guess.
Based on the information you have provided, the piece you are searching for may be his sonata in D Major K. 491. Here is a link to a short clip of the beginning of the piece.

You know he wrote over 500 sonatas (not sonatinas), right? Your description will not be adequate to help us sift through all of them.
