It is so hard to answer this question. I have so many favorites in different genres! I grew up on gospel music and Motown and pop. Additionally, my family was very big into Big Jazz (Count Basie, Duke, Ella....) I have so many genres that I am a part of, it's hard to separate. BUT if I had to narrow down one group, it would have to be EARTH, WIND AND FIRE. I think they encompass it all - as a 'band'. As an artist - I am still in love with the sounds of CHAKA KHAN/ARETHA FRANKLIN. My number one music genre would have to be contemporary jazz.......
