Estrogen is mainly responsible for the fertile quality cervical mucus so if you have high estrogen, or are estrogen dominant, then it is very normal to see patches of EWCM before and after O.

"EWCM comes from an estrogen increase. That usually happens several days prior to ovulation. But it also happens about a week after ovulation. So seeing EWCM again at that time is not unusual. "-- http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/a...

"Once ovulation has occurred, the cervical fluid dries up, and the vagina remains dry until the next cycle. However, many women do experience periods of "unexplained" EWCM both before and after ovulation."-- http://www.babysnark.com/ttc-fertility/t...

However, if the CM has an odor or you have any itching/burning then it could be an infection.

I am having the same issue. I am 7 DPO. I am still having ALOT of cervical mucus. also i do know when i ovulate too and timed sex right on the ovulation. From everything i have been reading i have come to the conclusion that if your mucus stays or increases after Ovulation that you are pregnant. Are you having any other symptoms like cramping. Which would mean implantation.

Hmm, you got me.... I never had that till I was pregnant, and it wasn't till after AF was late that I noticed that, and its WAY too soon for you to be pregnant, egg wouldn't have had a chance to implant yet.

Sorry not of much help to you.
Good Luck
