You say that as if it were a BAD thing...
All hiring is a sorting-out of who is suitable and who is not.
You are discriminating based on the requirements of the job.
Now - is excluding a felon illegal ? Not legally...
in fact, they may be your best choice if they can do the job
and you aren't worried about their criminal record.

Sadly, no, as a prison record can be regarded as a statistical reason for someone having the potential to be more trouble than they are possibly worth, and not able to use their time wisely - as well as, if they were in jail, what about their job skills?. If you're going to break the law, better have some seriously marketable skills first! Of course, this doesn't apply to politicians, apparently!

No, absolutely not! It was their choice to become a felon. They dont even deserve the same rights that are given to other law abiding American citizens.
