I too am a Christian, and believe that God's hand is in the details of our lives. I do not believe God has put up a shield and protected America against an attack. I believe our President, and our leaders, have asked for God's wisdom, in regard to protecting America. As a result, they have made wise decisions and used the gifts, talents, and graces that is available to them. Like all people, even our leaders will sometime hear their own 'voices' and put trust in what they believe is the right thing to do. But as a whole, I believe President Bush, and those he has around him, do and have called upon God's guidence and strived to follow the leading they feel they received from Him. God put the government in place. God uses those who seek Him.

I don't think we know if we are safer or not but I know we have thwarted attempts around the world. That is Bush and other world leaders and Gods grace.
I think the bottom line is that average Joe citizen like we are know the ins and outs of what has and has not been done. We only know media hype (left and right wing). I think somewhere in the middle is the answer. We have stopped attacks but how many more do we have to go?

We haven't been attacked by Al Qaeda because we're still reacting to the last time. By the time we stop chasing ghosts in other countries, we'll get attacked again (also when their recruitment rates drop).

You'd have to explain what God's grace is, because not everyone believes in a god or grace. But I sure wouldn't give Bush any credit for anything.

"not attacked by al-qaida"?....tell that to the families of those killed and wounded in Iraq! Is God only protecting Americans in America, but not in Iraq? Haven't you heard?...al-qaida is in Iraq now, because Americans are in Iraq!!!!!!

Have you acclimated to permanent Code Orange and willingly handed over your civil liberties, accepted endless war in your name and 400,000 homeless veterans on the streets of America, agreed with your representatives' capitulation to corporate control of your life, gotten past that nagging voice that repeats "all the victims deserve justice", forgotten those pictures of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo, normalized the outright lies and utter lack of accountability for anyone in government office ... ?

they're currently planning a big attack which will happen in the next few months. how big and how many die as a result i don' t know. so don't be so quick to praise bush and if it was God's "grace" why would he allow it to happen in the first place? God set the world in motion and don't intervene unless it's relevant to prophecy. other than it's a crap shoot.

I give Bush 90% credit, and the diligence of the american people 10% credit. We've had a couple failed attempts since that date. Police and good patriots have stepped forward and turned in the weasels.
