No, it is not possible that the Constitution was inspired by God.
No, it is not possible that the framers of the Constitution were inspired by God to write the Constitution.
I'm sure they didn't really understand fully what they were creating, otherwise they would have outlawed political parties and lobbying. But that doesn't mean God had anything to do with it.
Yes, I believe in God.

Many of the framers of the Constitution were agnostic and that is why there is seperation of church and state. God had nothing to do with the founding of this nation. The Constitution made provision for the freedom of worship and religion like any reasonable nation should. The phrase "In God We Trust" was put on currency and coin much later in our country's history and even though I do not agree with that use of religion it does't bother me enough to sue anyone.

The founders were products of the enlightenment, and they knew exactly what they were creating. There were no recorded debates about God at the Constitutional Convention as it was understood by all in attendance that the new republic would be secular in nature. The first amendment clearly recognizes secularism as a basic principle.

Inspired by God, no. Fully understood what they were creating, possibly, but not the full magnitude of future implications around the world for all time.

the people that wrote the Constitution were Deist. That means that they believe that a god exists that created the world and put it in motion, nothing more. So the "God" that is in the Constitution, the Pledge of Alliegance, on the coins and so on is not God in the Christian sense, but the god in the Deism...so no

The people that came to America came because they wanted religious freedom, so I'm sure God was involved.
I believe that a document that still rings true 200 years later is something special, but I would not say that it was written by God himself like the 10 commandments.
I don't think they fully understood what they were writing. I am sure that they would have been much more specific if they had. That way, people would not take their words and twist them, removing prayer from schools or a cross from someone's hill. It's gotten ridiculous.

anything is possible... it's possible Larry Flint was inspired by God to put out Hustler... but I don't think it's probable...
I would think they would have made a national religion if they were truly inspired by God... I mean... isn't that the whole point?
I mean... weren't Israel's early kingdoms inspired by God... and they had a national religion...

They knew exactly what they are creating they knew God gave us truth and freedom and sometimes you have to fight for them.
The Founding Fathers came from England, it wasn't exactly going great over there with the hardships the kings were opposing on the populace.
No, we aren't perfect, neither were the Founding Fathers.. but they did believe that those inalienable rights were given to all men by God.
