Today. Six years later. SIX YEARS! Are you safer? Is your life better? Your neighbor's? Your kids? Have you acclimated to permanent Code Orange and willingly handed over your civil liberties, accepted endless war in your name and 400,000 homeless veterans on the streets of America, agreed with your representatives' capitulation to corporate control of your life, gotten past that nagging voice that repeats "all the victims deserve justice", forgotten those pictures of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo, normalized the outright lies and utter lack of accountability for anyone in government office ... ?

I think he is responsible for failing to head off the 9/11 attacks. The Democrats leaving the White House in 2001 tried to warn him. His own staff tried to warn him. But he didn't care about terrorism at the time.

Actually it was not even Bush himself but the people who made his policy. But Bush is 'the boss' so he gets the responsibility.

Since 9/11 Bush has -cared- about terrorism but only as a device to justify the things he wanted to do to begin with, like invade Iraq. Besides nationalizing airport security, he's done very little to protect America, for instance our seaports, our nuclear plants. His Homeland Security Dept. has issued dozens of conveniently-timed, fake terror alerts. And he's arrogated to himself the power of a dictator to arrest and jail people without due process or even charges being filed. None of this has made us any safer from terrorism. Not to mention he's failed to go after Al Quaeda and Bin Laden is still at large (perhaps because he's more useful to Bush still alive than caught).

But I don't think Bush or the GOP or the White House actually -did- 9/11.

I love all you Dems. You all say how stupid and dumb Bush is, but then you like to say how he was the mastermind of the 9/11 attachs and was able to trick everyone in the world about the attachs until now.
If that is what you beleive, then just remember what you are really saying... you are dumber that Bush.
