i have a book report to in english that envolves doing a project about my book it all envolves me reading a book called Rascal and it is about a boy during the second war war going hunting in the woods and then he comes across a racoons nest and the baby racoon gets left and then the boy named sterling has to take in in for about 2 and a half years then he lets the racoon named rascal go to his wild home in the woods far away from his house the main character is the racoon and that is why i need som suggestions to get the shape of the racoon

I'm sure you can find pictures on the web. Search: "pictures of racoons" or similar. Any paper will do. Experiment with various thicknesses. Newspaper, [stay away from colored ads.] and paper bags from the grocery stores is great. Remember that when the paper is thick, it will take longer to dry.
You may try to make the body form from papertowel tubes or roll up that newspaper into tubes, bend them and tape them into shape. You could use wadded paper to add volume to the stomach part and cover it gently with your mache. The top layer should be a white or light colored paper so the paint will be clear and bright. Even though you have pictures, draw a portion of the body to have an example to use for that part you need. If you need to connect a head to the neck, use tape gently and cover that well. Have fun!
