I'm in my late teens, and, while my friends prefer the "angelic" tones of MCR, Chemical Brothers, muse etc. I find I enjoy the works of David Bowie, Sinatra, Presley, Springsteen etc. I despise all songs made today, all rocky and inaudiabe. Does anyone else like me feel like this, or am I really alone loving classical music, 40s 50s 60s and 70s alone??

personally I prefer the ones you don't like, but plenty of my friends are really into Presley and Sinatra and what not, we are about the same age as you too. who cares what your friends are into, just because you like something else doesn't make you weird or anything

I'm 21 years old and have loved oldies since I can remember, thanks to my dad. I was flipping through the channels and saw the VMAs and realized I didn't have a clue who anyone was anymore (except Justin Timberlake from NSync) but I am quite content with the awesome music i am in to. Favorites are definitely '60s and '70s and White Stripes for my modern music. Don't worry about what others like, "today's music ain't got the same soul, i like my old time rock n roll" (Same thing happened when i bought a DDR game and i didn't know who Fall Out Boy is.)

I like some from both oldies and modern. I listen to lots of oldies. I won't call David Bowie, Sinatra, etc, classical though....classical is like, Beethoven.

If you look hard enough, you can find some newer music that is similar to the styles of those older groups.

LOL, you're not alone, although I like music of most kinds, I'm stuck in the 80's but, love classic rock and classical too, pending on the mood I'm in or the mood I want to be in *^_^*

All the Very Best, Shad @)~>~

{I do have to admitt however that I am hooked on "Fall Out Boy"}
